Kathmandu: In a proactive move to tackle the current economic challenges, the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) has reached out to its members, seeking valuable suggestions for a comprehensive national economic discourse.

Functioning as the umbrella organization for the Nepalese private sector, FNCCI has initiated this call for suggestions as part of a broader effort to contribute to a national economic dialogue. A meeting chaired by FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal on October 12 put forth a proposal to the government, advocating for the establishment of a high-level mechanism. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' responded positively to this proposal.

In preparation for the upcoming phase of the economic discourse, FNCCI has issued a circular to its members across all districts, urging them to provide insights and recommendations on the necessary course of action to address the ongoing economic crisis.

Following the collection of suggestions from its diverse membership base, FNCCI plans to compile and present a comprehensive set of recommendations to the government. The objective is to advocate for the implementation of private sector-friendly economic policies and the formulation of effective resolutions to alleviate the prevailing economic challenges.
